Discover Osmussaar
Osmussaar, named after Odin; the god of the Vikings, is a fascinating place full of history, natural beauty and cliff-lined coasts to explore.
The area is perfect for a long hike, and the Osmussaare Reisid excursions include a boat trip to the island and back from Dirhami harbour, as well as a guided hike.
These hikes, lasting 4 to 5 hours, set out from the island’s southern harbour. The trek passes through sites of natural and historical interest, including a ‘crocodile farm’, and beautiful ancient boulders – found nowhere else in the world.
Walking along the clifftops, those with good eyes may even spot the fossilized remains of sea life.
Information on scheduled hike times are available on the excursion’s company website.
